ScholarsGate is a marketplace connecting students (and their parents/guardians) with independent tutors. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. Users under 18 must have a parent or guardian agree to these terms and supervise their use of the platform.

Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of ScholarsGate. Tutors are responsible for the lessons they deliver and for holding any required checks (including an Enhanced DBS check where they work with minors).

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. ScholarsGate charges a platform service fee on each booking. Refunds and cancellations follow our cancellation policy shown at the time of booking.

You agree not to misuse the platform, including harassment, sharing unlawful content, attempting to take payments off-platform to avoid fees, or circumventing safety controls.

ScholarsGate provides the platform "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the conduct of tutors or students or for indirect losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or our safeguarding obligations. You may close your account at any time from your settings.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
